Position Summary:
Work in a project team environment in both front end conceptual tasks and execution engineering for large scale construction projects. Establish processes and equipment to satisfy client requirements in competitive bidding environments. Specify equipment to achieve minimal cost as well as limit field problems and change orders. Work with designers to establish proper equipment arrangements and piping layouts. Formulate P&I Diagrams to completely describe the processes. Understand the input and output of project data in the document control system. Interface with all other disciplines and coordinate with project management, procurement, construction management, etc. Take active responsibility for schedules and budgets. Participate in training and seminars. Observe and follow site safety and quality guides.

Other Skills
BSME plus 10-25 years experience in the Power industry in either plant operations or consulting engineering environments. Professional registration required. Foreign language fluency desirable. Exposure to process simulation software desirable. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required. California Energy Comission permitting experience desirable. Experience with frame and aeroderivative gas turbines and combined cycle power plants desirable. Experience with solar thermal and photovoltaic technologies desirable. Fluency in Microsoft Access or other database software desirable. Exposure to Intergraph Microstation or other CAD environment desirable.
